The Food and Pharmaceutical Microbiology laboratories focuses on testing products and services related to food, beverages, water and disinfectants. Testing services are built on a base of skills in microbiology, food technology and biochemistry.
The SABS Food Laboratory offer microbiological tests. We have a highly qualified team of experienced microbiologists who apply advanced techniques in meeting our client needs. They perform a wide range of tests on raw meat, fisheries, canned food, poultry, milk and dairy products, disinfectants, all types of water, processed foods and bulk foods daily. Laboratories are located in Pretoria and Cape Town.
A variety of products are tested, such as packaged foods, fresh foods, beverages, water from different sources and pharmaceutical products.
