The SABS’s testing activities provide an extensive array of testing, including proficiency testing, calibration, inspection, and evaluation capabilities across a diverse range of technologies and industries.
The SABS conducts testing on a wide spectrum of products across a multitude of industry sectors and technologies at the dedicated test laboratories, situated in Pretoria and at various strategic locations throughout South Africa. These services remain the most extensive and comprehensive offered by any single organisation in the southern African region.
Operations within the Laboratory Services Division are split across six business departments of laboratories, which are strategically situated in Gauteng, the Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga, and the Eastern Cape, in close proximity to the markets they serve, each catering to various economic sectors and providing extensive services.
