Purchase Standard

SABS sells South African National Standards (SANS) as well as related documents, including CKS, SATS and SATR specifications. We also sell ISO and IEC standards. Our services extend to sourcing other international and/or foreign standards for you, such as British or German DIN standards.

Do you want to buy a standard or collection of standards?

There are various ways you can do this, depending on who you are (e.g. individual buyer, student, small or large company) and in which format you wish to get the standard (hard copy, soft copy, non-printable PDF or CD).

Purchase a Standard


Payments can be done via bank transfer or credit card (VISA or Mastercard). Customers can also open credit accounts with the SABS and buy standards according to agreed- upon terms. Click here to find out more about this service.

Please remember that standards purchased from this store have a single-user license (that is, they are meant for one end-user, on one standalone computer, or as one printout for the specific end-user). If you are a company that uses standards extensively, you should consider subscribing to our annual subscription service, which includes an updating service. This allows you to get a collection of standards with a multiple-user license that you can store on a central server, document management system or intranet. Our Stores

You can also visit our Sales Office at the SABS head office in Groenkloof, Pretoria, (click here for address) to buy hard copies of standards. You can also buy collections on CD. We also have stores at selected SABS branches.

Visit the SABS Library to read Standards

At our Head Office in Pretoria and in the regions, we also have a complete collection of standards. Customers are welcome to come here and request to read standards while at the Library/Sales Centre.
