Water Products

Food and Water laboratory tests food and water products for quality control purposes. The department is also ISO 17025 accredited (SANAS Accreditation number - T0866).
Our laboratories are well equipped to test drinking water to SANS 241, bottled water to SANS 1657, as well as other types of waters such as effluent, river, and borehole waters across a wide spectrum of parameters.

SANS Standards:

SANS 241: Drinking water Part 1 – Microbiological, physical, aesthetic, and chemical determination.
SANS 1657: Bottled water of subterranean origin.
SANS 1862: Packaged water other than natural mineral water.
